day 188

She stayed home from school this afternoon due to overtiredness and anger management issues, triggered by her inability to get the magic trick to work. BY. HER. SELF. - do not help OR ELSE.

There was a complete meltdown soon after this photo was taken. Several hours later, well-rested and in a much better mood, she finally figured it out.

day 187

All that magic was exhausting!!! We got home pretty late, and I did get her out of the van, but then I got busy catching up on some work and I almost forgot to bring her up to bed. So this was the scene in the spare room sometime after midnight.

day 186

This photo makes me feel a little old. I haven't seen my friend Anders forever. All those years ago in University, I never dreamed I'd be taking my kids to see one of his magic shows. So, now I'm a lot cooler in my kids' eyes, because I actually *know* the magician. Is Dad friends with any magicians?? No way, just mom!!

day 185

I had a scary overnight stay in the hospital and I wasn't up to taking pictures when I got home- so here's a 365 'filler' shot. One day I sent my husband for groceries and Miracle Whip was on the list. He has a tendency to overdo things so I said "Don't buy one of those HUGE jars because it doesn't taste good anymore about halfway through."

So, he didn't buy a HUUUUUUGE jar, I'll give him that.

day 184

I'm still sick so it seemed like a good day to send my husband and the girls to the ski-hill for some snow-tubing. I didn't take the picture but I assume this is my two oldest and my nephew coming in for a landing.

day 183

I'm sick with some kind of plague yesterday and today, so I really didn't get far from bed, let alone take pictures. This photo is a few days old but just in case the first one wasn't clear enough, how's this? Now is anybody paying attention?

day 182

They've been waiting FOREVER to try out Grandma and Grandpa's new jacuzzi.

day 181

Playing Go Fish with Nanny after breakfast.

day 180

Grandma Silver always has neat things to play with. This one is some kind of never-ending "Tessara" puzzle with bug shapes that fit together in certain ways.

day 179

So, yesterday out of the blue she actually used the potty for the first time. And possibly, the last.

day 178

Pepere thinks he has his hands full with these two - just wait until next year!

day 177

I had some fabulous snowstorm pictures, but I accidentally deleted them. So this is the best I can do - this is the aftermath. Same place we were flying kites earlier this week.

day 176

Let's see who's paying attention.

day 175

Cultural Appropriation night at our house. Homemade Won-ton soup, sweet and sour meatballs, and rice.

day 174

Reading the paper while waiting for the girls at school.

day 173

Its nice enough out to fly kites!

day 172

My nephew came over for the afternoon. He's getting pretty good at this - 91%, 86 note streak?

Its on easy - but he's four. Almost five.

day 171

Mirth. Oh, the joy of a wind-up hopping rooster!

day 170

Easter Sunday at Grandma's house.

day 169

Egg-coloring, round #2

day 168

Second breakfast of the day: 'Mama can I please onge?'

day 167

Peek-a-boo Bella Dancerella

day 166

Chocolate-covered Bella Dancerella

day 165

Sleepy Bella Dancerella

day 164

Bella Dancerella in action

day 163

Finished product

day 162

"You can keep the orange. I have my eye on the robins-egg blue..."

day 161

The Shutterfly calendar arrived today. I'm really impressed with them - and so are the girls.

day 160

Speaking of report cards, I thought this was kind of funny. On the kids' school calendar, they have "Confessions" on the same day as "Report Card Day"

day 159

The girls got their report cards today, so there was the official business of going over everything with Dad.

day 158

"These are WASHABLE markers, right???"
