day 300

The annual canola picture - awful as usual!! Its the entire collection that will be impressive, not the individual photos. Right?

Saturday, August 2, 2008

day 299

Belated anniversary flowers - two batches. And no flash, obviously!

day 298

So, now there's no wind, but the lake is green. Thank goodness for the little pool.

day 297

The finished windbreak in use. Notice how the papers aren't blowing away? That's because its not at all windy today. Its working perfectly!!

day 296

They're building a massive windbreak between the two cabins. It's been ridiculously windy quite often this spring/summer - but I fully expect that we won't have a breath of wind once this is finished.

day 295

Teaching his youngest daughter how to fish off the dock.

day 294

My husband also gets up ridiculously early, even when he doesn't have to work. He missed the sunset on this day but he didn't miss the fog - usually you can see the hills on the other side.

day 293

OH! That's COLD!

day 292

Is it just me, or are these strawberries ridiculously large?

day 291

I didn't take this one - because its a sunrise. I am usually sleeping when the sun is coming up, but my mom leaves for work early in the morning so she didn't miss this one.

day 290

Picking Saskatoon berries with Grandma.

day 289

Rainy day at the lake = break out the Lite Brite.

day 288

Cecily's always finding rainbows - here's another one.

day 287

The Level 1 swim class on their way out to the floating dock - Cecily made it about half way and then saw how far she was from shore - so she freaked out and swam back in. Maybe next year.

Madeleine missed this (and she would have loved it) because she was horribly sick from eating raw cookie dough the day before and couldn't stop throwing up.

day 286

Madeleine battling Uncle Craig on Guitar Hero. Its very, very serious business.

day 285

Another decent day. Here's the Momarazzi photographers taking photos from the beach at swimming lessons. Not me, of course.

day 284

Day two of swimming lessons - much nicer. Cecily is always at the very end so if she does have to jump in, it won't be deeper than her ankles.

day 283

On the road again today - to the lake for the first day of swimming lessons. And what a lovely day it was.

day 282

A ten-hour drive home, made easier with Leapsters, MP3 players and Color Wonders. Annique gets annoyed when the sunshine messes with Leapster visibility, but she's figured out how to fix it. The kids were amazing on the ride home, we only stopped twice to eat and go to the bathroom.

day 281

The obligatory family group shot - a few of the 200+ people at the reunion.

day 280

You can't have a family reunion without a few freaks with teeth missing. My father and daughter, in this case.

day 279

Craft time at the family reunion - visors! This is a feeble attempt for the adults to figure out all the kids' names. Here, make a visor. Put your name on it!!

Meet my nephew, NOID. He made his own visor with no help from anyone.

~Cheri

day 278

We've arrived at the family reunion! Here's my dad refusing to believe he'll have a sore back later today because of this. They're two, they can walk. Really.

day 277

The crappy Nikon takes crappy pictures, so this is yesterday's waterpark on video:

day 276

Exhausted after a long day on the road. And, a bonus photo - we went to get an ultrasound today.

day 275

Happy Canada Day - oh, and she lost another tooth yesterday - a top one this time. There's already a new tooth coming in - so I suspect it didn't fall out, it was pushed.

day 274

Three new babies in the family - due in: December, October, September.

day 273

It fits!

day 272

I'm making T-shirts for the family reunion this weekend. We're way beyond the point where a simple "Hello, my name is..." tag will suffice.

day 271

Morning coffee on my sister's new front deck. I'm sitting in a similar chair with a two year old wrapped up in a blanket on my lap, too. There's her toes, actually.

day 270

I'm packing for 2 weeks away from home - and had everything in neat piles for each family member. Then, the two year old disappeared for a few minutes...

day 269

Aren't I supposed to be the one with the cravings? He wanted caramel popcorn so he tried making it - but it was so awful he didn't even eat it. I think it was the Blackstrap molasses.

day 268

It means 'Student of the Year' in her grade. :)

day 267

Finished teacher-presents.

day 266

Just another rainbow. But, since it was raining, I didn't feel like going outside to take the picture. But its there if you look really close.

day 265

She picked up Guitar Hero and is suddenly getting the hang of it. Now she figures there is something wrong with the Wii if she doesn't make it through a song on the first try.

day 264

Working on teacher-presents for the last day of school.

day 263

She's still in the toddler bed! YAY! Sleeping at the wrong end, but I'm not complaining.

day 262

And here they are all dressed up for grad - we had a great day and perfect weather, thank goodness!

day 261

The class of 2008 practicing the hat-throw. We got it right on about the 8th try.

day 260

First overnight camping trip for Madeleine - her brave teacher decided to take her whole class camping overnight in a classmate's farmyard. They had a blast!

day 259

She suddenly started sleeping in her toddler bed. So far, so good.

day 258

Prenatal drug cocktail: Folic Acid (2), Colace (2), Prenatal vitamin, Tylenol (2) and of course, 2 Diclectin to keep me from throwing up. I am *still* throwing up. The prenatal vitamin makes me feel awful, I'm trying to decide whether its really the vitamin or whether I just blame it because its so huge and nasty.

day 257

We're attempting to put up a gazebo in the backyard. Of course, our foreman is supervising the whole operation.

day 256

Someone caught a sturgeon in the river and brought it over for me to take a picture of. My goodness, its ugly. They're prehistoric or something - something we don't see very often so you have to take a picture or nobody will believe you. This is the first time I've ever seen one, hopefully the last. Back in the river it went.

day 255

Action shot - this was the last day of baseball for the girls. They were supposed to play a game but the other team didn't show up so they played against themselves. Nobody lost.
