day 105
The last time I took a bunch of things to my mom's house to be mended, I came home with the un-mended mending, and a little tin filled with thread, needles, pins, a tape measure, etc. I suppose that is a hint?

Girls, meet the King. I don't know why, but I guess it comes from growing up in a house where turning off an Elvis documentary would be a criminal offense - so we all sat down and watched an Elvis special tonight.
My six year old had the usual one million questions. She also had an opinion on what caused his untimely death. "maybe he shouldn't have been singing so much, and he could be at home with he's family!"
Maybe.

One example of how we might change the signs, notice the red and white logo we're incorporating into our signs.
New project - we're doing something pretty exciting in town, a 'branding' project to promote our bilingual community. I'm helping to coordinate it so I took a bunch of pictures around town and I'm photoshopping some ideas in for enhancing our signs. So if I say I'm working on the branding project, I guess this is the best way to show what that means.day ninety-six

Sometimes, I just have to watch her make a plan and carry it out. If I interfered when I saw her going to the pantry to get the chips, then I'd have missed her pulling the purple chair over to get to the stool, getting a plate from the counter, climbing up on the purple chair to the barstool, and dumping the chips onto the plate so she can eat them. She was so busy, it scared the crap out of her when I asked "What are you doing???"

My parents took the kids to the lake - they've never been there in the winter time when there is ice on it. Their friends next door were very glad to see them - and wondered if they brought their bathing suits. Now, I didn't think to pack bathing suits (for the hot tub) but I did send their skates so they were able to try skating on the lake for the first time.

Annique and I bowling on the Wii - it really is fun for the whole family
You thought I gave up, didn't you? Didn't even make it to three months! Ha - but the truth is, my laptop had to be sent away to HP to get that hinge fixed - it got MUCH worse over the holidays and I couldn't put it off any longer. It was very stressful for me to send it away - why not just ask me to sever my right arm and mail it away for a couple of weeks?
