My parents took the kids to the lake - they've never been there in the winter time when there is ice on it. Their friends next door were very glad to see them - and wondered if they brought their bathing suits. Now, I didn't think to pack bathing suits (for the hot tub) but I did send their skates so they were able to try skating on the lake for the first time.

It looks as if Cecily went through the ice and is standing knee high in water...very deceiving! What did they think of skating on the lake...I was such a chicken at that age to do that sort of thing....in fact even now, I make darn sure it's solid...I don't care much for being cold and wet.
